A solar filament erupted into space on June 7th. It's likely that a coronal mass ejection managed to escape the Sun's gravity. Further analysis suggests an eruption at approximately 21 45 UTC.
While no ejecta from this event has been observed in SOHO/LASCO C2 coronagraph imagery, there may still be a potentially geoeffective, slow moving CME en-route, due to the source location. According to NOAA/SWPC any CME would likely arrive on June 11th to 12th.
